Find travel inspiration
Inspiration gathers the public itineraries people share on Pinfolk, organised by country and city. Search for where you’re going, open a trip that catches your eye and press Play to watch it unfold on the map, stop by stop. Then save it, or make your own copy to adapt.
Open Inspiration
Go to the Search tab and tap the Inspiration card, Itineraries by destination, under the search field; the country chips below it take you straight to a country. You can also get there from the Map tab: switch to World, choose Itineraries and tap Search by destination.
Search by destination
Type in Country, city or place, or pick one of the Popular destinations. With your location on, Near me shows trips around you. Sort by Relevance, Most saved, Recent or Nearest, and filter by length: 1 day, 2–3 days, 4–7 days or 8+ days.
Press Play
Open an itinerary and tap Play to watch the route travel across the map, stop by stop; on a trip of several days, pick a day first to start there. Tap the speed chip (1×, 2×, 3×) to go faster, drag the timeline to jump ahead, and if you move the map yourself, tap Follow again.
Keep it or make it yours
Tap the bookmark to save the itinerary. To adapt it, open the ⋯ menu and choose Make a copy (on a followers-only itinerary, tap Save a copy). The copy goes to your own itineraries, ready to edit.
Take it out with you
At the bottom of the itinerary, Use in a plan turns it into a plan with friends, and Follow the route guides you from stop to stop while you’re out. The ⋯ menu also has Open in Maps.
Tips
- Inspiration only shows public itineraries.
- The Pinfolk team publishes its own collection from the official @pinfolk account: search for it and open Itineraries on its profile.
- With Reduce Motion turned on, Play moves stop by stop with Previous stop and Next stop.
- Nothing for your destination yet? Tap Create an itinerary and be the first.
