Build your own itineraries
An itinerary is a route of stops, over one day or several. You build it right on the map, decide how to get from one stop to the next and choose who sees it. It has no start time: times count from the start of each day, and you set the date when you use it in a plan.
Start an itinerary
Tap the + in the Feed or on the Map and choose Itinerary, or go to your Profile, open Itineraries and tap New itinerary. If you left one half-done, choose Continue draft or Start over.
Add your stops
Search in Search a place to add, browse the category chips (Museums, Viewpoints, Eat…) or tap the map to drop a stop. To use places you’ve saved, tap From your lists. You need at least two stops.
Split it into days
For a longer trip, tap Day (with the +) to add a day, and tap the selected day to give it a title, such as “Old town” or “Beach day”. If a new stop is far from the last one, Pinfolk offers to Add on a new day.
Choose how you get around
In Getting around, pick a mode for each leg: Walk, Bike, Car, Transit, Bus, Train, Flight or Boat. Use for all applies it to every leg. Legs you skip stay Not chosen yet, and Continue with suggested fills them in based on the distance.
Add times and details (optional)
In Stop details, turn on Add time at each stop to say how long you’ll spend at each one; times count from the start of the day. You can also add a note (what to order, tickets, a tip) and a photo for each stop.
Name it, share it, make a video
In Name & cover, write a name and choose a cover (without one, the route map is the cover), then go to the Preview. Choose Share to the feed, Only for followers or Just save it, and confirm. Once it’s public, open the ⋯ menu and tap Export video: choose the Length and Quality, then Create video.
Tips
- Your draft saves itself on your phone, so you can close the app and pick it up later.
- When the video is ready, use Save to phone, Share or Instagram Stories.
- The video carries the Pinfolk branding and a QR code so people can follow your itinerary.
- Prefer a square video? Use the share button, choose Video and 1:1, then Create video.
Try it in the app
Pinfolk is made for your phone: the map, the camera and your plans are at their best in the app.
