Share anywhere
Almost everything public on Pinfolk can be shared: plans, profiles, itineraries, routes, lists, places, posts and communities. It all goes through the same share sheet, which can also turn it into a branded image. Friends without the app can open your link in their browser, and even join a plan from there.
Tap Share
Look for the share icon at the top of a plan, an itinerary, a list or a community, or tap Share profile on your profile. The Share sheet opens with a preview and a short pinfolkapp.com link.
Choose a link or an image
At the top, choose Link or Image (public itineraries, routes and results also offer Video). Images come in 9:16 for stories or 1:1 for feeds, with the Pinfolk branding and a call to action such as “Join this plan”.
Send it on WhatsApp or Instagram
Tap WhatsApp to send it straight to a chat (it appears when WhatsApp is installed). With Instagram Stories, Pinfolk prepares the image and copies the link: in Instagram, paste it into a link sticker. More opens your phone’s share menu for any other app.
Copy the link or show a QR code
Copy link copies it to your clipboard, and QR code shows a code anyone can scan with their phone’s camera, handy when you’re together in person. You can also send it to people and groups inside Pinfolk, or Add to story.
Links work without the app
Anyone who opens your link without Pinfolk installed sees the page on pinfolkapp.com: the plan, the itinerary or the profile. From a plan they can tap Join on the web, or Get the app to download Pinfolk; on Android, the app opens that same link once they’ve signed up.
Tips
- Private things never become an image, and can only be sent inside Pinfolk to people who can already see them.
- Only the host can share the invite link of an invite-only plan.
- A plan’s image shows the neighbourhood, never the exact address.
- Routes and results hide their start and end by default (Hide start and end).
- When someone joins Pinfolk through one of your links, you’ll get a notification.
Try it in the app
Pinfolk is made for your phone: the map, the camera and your plans are at their best in the app.
